Motivation-what do you do to stay revved up?

Good morning! I have to admit when I woke up this morning, I wasn't all there. I'm pretty sure I slept well last night. It's just that the business we're in can be such a grind. That being said, I was looking for ways to rev myself up and was curious what gets you going.

For me, it's being able to read inspirational thoughts first thing often followed by a quick set of exercises and writing this blog. It's also the knowledge that this is just one day and tomorrow is a new day. Hopefully my thoughts and preparation will lead to success. I'm pretty sure it will.

So what do you do? Does it work? I personally realize how blessed I am to have everything I have. This helps tremendously. May you all have an incredible day! God bless!

Hi Paul!  I woke up in the same mood!  I enjoy reading posts and forums from other real estate professionals to see what they are doing in this business and in this market.  Active Rain and HouseValues Mastermind Forum always help to jumpstart my mood and get me ready to try some fresh ideas out.  I like to compete so it's nice for me to take what others are doing and try to make it better in my own way.  Best wishes to you!

Sincerely,

Kathleen

If I wake up and my mood is not too good, I listen to some upbeat music - it always helps

Hi Kathleen: Thank you. I do as well. Is Housevalues forum free? I'm curious.

Thank you Michael. What you say is true. Obviously some days are more exciting than others but every day is different. Take care.

Hello Paul,

This is what I do to get motivated and stay on the right track,

  • I wake up and write in my journal 10 things I am grateful for
  • I write down 10 things I will do today
  • I listen to alot of motivational and sales audio books
  • I work out to get my blood flowing
  • I talk to my sphere of positive influence
  • I constantly remind myself why I am doing this(The big WHY in my life my family)

Hopefully some of this helps Paul Great Post! Join my group and we can share more ideas at Mastermind group  http://activerain.com/groups/mastermind

When I wake up, the first thing I do is say "good morning" to my Heavenly Father......

I then keep His presence with me as I do bible reading and prayer..... then I think about things relating to the kingdom of God.

I have breakfast, still in prayer and meditation about the Lord and His righteousness.

I then go and begin my day...... AFTER I have done those things.

This has been my habit for over 25 years.....
